major triads. The 2nd inversion could be played in 2 different ways
Minor triads. 3 different ways to play the 2nd inversion
diminished triads. 3 different ways to play the 2nd inversion
Augmented triads. Because augmented triads are symmetrical. There are 2 shapes that are applied for all inversions

Connect open triads

For major, minor and diminished open triads, the top note of one shape becomes the bottom note of the next one, one octave lower. Follow the cyan arrows when moving from one shape to another.

For augmented triads, it’s easier because we can use the same shape but move everything a major 3rd back and forth.
